Investment Management
Investment Management Built Around Your Financial Goals
Personalized Investment Strategies. Professional Investment Resources.
At Alber Asset Management, we believe effective investment management begins with understanding your financial goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, and income needs.
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all investment strategy, we focus on constructing portfolios that complement each client's broader financial plan, retirement objectives, and tax considerations.
Our Three-Tier Investment Philosophy
We believe a well-constructed investment portfolio should consider more than market performance alone. Our three-tier investment philosophy incorporates liquidity, diversification, and downside protection and income strategies to help align investment decisions with each client's financial goals, risk tolerance, and time horizon.
Tier 1 — Liquidity
Our liquidity tier incorporates individual stocks, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) based on each client's liquidity needs, investment time horizon, and risk tolerance. This tier emphasizes access to invested assets while maintaining alignment with the client's broader investment objectives.
Tier 2 — Diversification
Our diversification tier incorporates alternative assets to diversify portfolios beyond traditional stock and bond markets. These investments are evaluated based on their characteristics, risks, liquidity considerations, and potential role within the client's overall investment strategy.
Tier 3 — Downside Protection & Income Strategies
Our third tier incorporates strategies designed to seek to limit downside exposure and produce income based on each client's risk tolerance, investment time horizon, and financial goals. These strategies may help address retirement income needs and manage certain investment risks, subject to the terms and limitations of the investments selected.
Professional Investment Research & Portfolio Oversight
At Alber Asset Management, our investment management process is supported by an outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) team that provides specialized expertise in portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment research, and risk management.
This collaborative approach allows us to incorporate additional investment resources into our portfolio management process while maintaining the personalized financial planning, communication, and ongoing relationships our clients expect.
Our goal is to combine professional investment resources with individualized financial guidance, helping ensure investment decisions remain aligned with each client's broader financial objectives.
Ongoing Portfolio Management & Financial Oversight
Investment management is an ongoing process. At Alber Asset Management, we regularly evaluate client portfolios to help ensure investment strategies remain aligned with their financial goals, risk tolerance, income needs, and changing circumstances.
Our ongoing investment management process includes portfolio monitoring, evaluating rebalancing opportunities, reviewing asset allocation, and considering the potential tax implications of investment decisions.
We also recognize that financial priorities evolve. Whether approaching retirement, navigating market volatility, or experiencing a significant life event, we work with clients to evaluate appropriate adjustments to their investment strategies and broader financial plans.
Is Your Investment Strategy Still Working Toward Your Goals?
Whether you're managing your investments independently or currently working with another financial advisor, a comprehensive portfolio review can help you better understand your investment allocation, risk exposure, fees, and how your portfolio aligns with your long-term financial objectives.
At Alber Asset Management, we welcome the opportunity to review your current investment strategy and discuss whether adjustments may be appropriate for your financial situation.
There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or outperform a non-diversified portfolio. Diversification, asset allocation and rebalancing do not protect against market risk. Rebalancing a portfolio may cause investors to incur tax liabilities and/or transaction costs.
